Winter Soul Food begins June 4
It will soon be winter. My favourite time of the year (well one of them, …for a while anyway). It is so nice to stay in, in the warmth… but those long nights and short days lose their novelty after a while when day after day the colour is grey. Ah, what to do to spice up those long nights? Mmmm, some delicious warming hot soup would be nice. And crusty bread. And some friendly, chatty conversation with it? In a nice warm homey space? Yes, that’d do the trick. You know what would really make it perfecto, though? – some stimulating, thought provoking input that took me beyond myself and my winter drearies. Yes, that would be grand! … although some very meditative making and learning a new craft would be, well… that would just be the ant’s pants. And you know, I was just wondering where on earth one would find such a super, soul nourishing combo when I learned that Sophia’s Spring was going to offer that very same thing. Can you believe it? Eight fortnightly mid week, evening seminars. And it all kicks off on June 4th with our good friend Coralie Ling (Rev Dr ) talking about Sophia. Then a fortnight later a workshop on using inspiration from nature to spark creativity. Bliss? Yes…almost…just one more thing. If you were there, too – then that’d really be the bees knees! Winter? Bring it on! I can hardly wait.
