Blessing of the Animals (1.8.13)

Yesterday, as part of our ‘Blessing of the Animals’ service, we all walked to the billabong and chook enclosure to pray the following prayer:

God our creator,
Help us to love all creatures as our kin,
all animals as our partners on earth,
all birds as messengers of praise,
all sea life as symbol of your delight in creation,
all small beings as expressions of your mysterious design
and all frogs as voices of hope.

The service was put together by Jean R and Jan G, and these are Jean’s words.

Although we couldnt see any frogs, they were in very fine voice.  The crickets,  too were providing musical accompaniment.
