Preparing for Christmas at Sophia’s Springs
We follow the journey of a young couple from Nazareth to Bethlehem, two thousand years ago; and reflect on what has changed and what is very much the same in the geopolitics of the middle east, the nature of families and the tradition of hospitality to the stranger. How do faith and tradition sit with the commercialism that has become the western Christmas experience? ..How does an eco-feminist theology understand Christmas? How can love and hospitality sit along side our nation’s treatment of refugees? Come and join us for reflection, singing and discussion to consider together how we can give fresh meaning to the traditional themes of advent: hope joy, peace and love.
