Upcycling – this Wednesday night
Wednesday night is our last Winter Soul Food event. It is a workshop about remaking old clothing or Op shop finds into something new; giving it a new lease of life. This is another skill in the armoury of people wanting to tread lightly on the earth. It is also great fun. I will share some of my ideas and tricks and together we will brainstorm ideas for a stack of Op Shop finds I have been collecting. You can start a project or make and finish something small on the night. You might like to bring your “gentle work” from week 2, or your eco-dying from week 6, to use in your up cycling. Di has contributed a vintage piece of Suffolk quilting to inspire you and I will happily teach you how to make Suffolk Puffs from Op Shop scraps – that and much more! Come, enjoy and surprise yourself! Everyone will leave with something beautiful and recycled.
Join us for soup from 6.30. Workshop from 7 to 9 in the Eco-house at CERES off the Lee Street entrance.
Cheers,
Jan
