Climate March
We are just a few short weeks from the United Nations Climate Change Summit being held in Paris at the beginning of December.
‘This is the world’s next best chance following the debacle of the Copenhagen Summit, which for Australian’s also marked the beginning of the end of the Rudd Prime Ministership. Now we have the new Turnbull Prime Ministership, and climate may be just as problematic for him. Malcolm Turnbull is a supporter of strong action on climate change, yet constrained by a backbench to hold to the Abbott minimalist position. The Australian people are in favour of tougher action.’ – ABC Radio here
All over the world, people are calling on their governments to take more action for climate justice. This is a global movement and over the weekend of 27th-29th of November many will participate in People’s Climate Marches. Melbourne’s march will be on Friday 27 November.
Join us at the State Library of Victoria forecourt in Swanston Street at 5.30pm on Friday 27 November as we march together for a better, safer, and fairer future for all.
