18 July Cosmic Walk
Inspired by the work of Sr Miriam McGillis, the Cosmic Walk is a ritual celebrating the 14 billion year history of the cosmos. It offers an opportunity to understand ourselves and the cosmos in relationship.
25 July Council of all Beings
Based on the work of Joanna Macey and John Seed, The Council of All Beings is a communal ritual in which participants step aside from their human identity and speak on behalf of another life-form. The ritual serves to help us acknowledge and give voice to the suffering of our world. It also encourages an experience of the beauty and power of our interconnectedness with all life.
1 August Reflecting on our Ecological Journey
Inspired by Freya Mathews and Joanna Macy, this session will explore some of the attributes of deep ecology and the journey of our ecological self. It includes a short presentation, participants then reflect and share their own ecological journey. Sharing our ecological journey can empower others to continue our work as ambassadors for Gaia.
